Menzshed Manawatu is well established in Palmerston North, in Racecourse Road, just off Maxwells Line. Since it opened in 2012 it has become a place where men can come to socialize, develop new skills and work on practical community projects together.
Menzshed Manawatu is a Community shed with a wide variety of tools, many of them donated by our supportive local community. They are always on the lookout for any spare timber that they can transform into new items, and are also keen to receive donations of unwanted tools.
The menzshed is a place to get together with others to:
- Practice your skills, learn new ones and share your knowhow with others
- Pursue hobbies, pastimes and interests or get involved in a piece of work
- Enjoy some company while working on projects that give back to the community
- Belong to a team
Menzshed has undertaken a number of projects for community groups.
Members like to put their talents to good use in the community, helping not – for – profit organizations. They mend furniture, toys, and have made picnic tables for a Kindergarten among a host of other items. They would like to help other organizations where they can, so would welcome any enquiry.
We are currently open every Tuesday and Wednesday – from 9am to 2pm
