Re[pair Café:
Menzshed Manawatu are part of the growing national Repair Café movement. This is a monthly event where the public can bring items to a central space for repairs. The idea is to reduce the amount of repairable items which would otherwise end up in landfills.
On duty at these events is usually an array of people such as an electrician, computer/IT repairer, book mender, sewing machine repairs, woodworkers, plastic mending, sewers and general repairs. These sessions are held on the last Saturday of the month in the Leisure Centre in Ferguson St from 10.00 until 2.00.
